Ingredients

500 g (1 lb) boiled octopus
4 green plantains
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 slice of bacon of ½ cm. (0.2 in)
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of fish broth
1 tablespoon of seasoning
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Salt
For the sauce
1 onion
1 green pepper
2 bell peppers
1 carrot
1 garlic clove
2 dl of tomato sauce
1 dl of olive oil
1 tablespoon of chopped coriander
Salt and pepper

Directions

For the sauce: Peel and chop the onion. Open the peppers length-wise, remove the seeds and filaments and cut in strips. Peel the carrot and cut also in strips. Peal and chop the garlic. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and the garlic clove (pic. 1). Add the peppers, the carrot and keep cooking until soft. Add the tomato sauce and mix well (pic. 2). Add the boiled octopus. Peal the plantains and cut in thick slices. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the plantains to medium heat (pic. 3). Strain over paper towel. Fry the bacon diced and season with the minced garlic and the seasoning. Put the plantains, the bacon and the broth in a mortar. Smash until a obtaining a dough. Make a ball with a hole in the center and stuff with the filling.
